Revelstoke’s mayor is welcoming all colours of license plate this summer season.
“Please welcome members of the travelling public that are currently here or to those who plan to visit in the future, we accept all people with kindness, love and a smile because that’s the Revelstoke way,” said Revelstoke Mayor Gary Sulz during a mayor’s address posted on YouTube.
Sulz called for residents to welcome all to the mountain community after a local resident reportedly found an expletive-filled note on his vehicle, which bears Alberta licence plates, to return to the province.
Sulz posted a message on Revelstoke's Facebook page encouraging residents to reach out and welcome everybody arriving in the community, whether through travel, employment or family matters.
This isn’t the first time those with red licence plates have come under scrutiny from B.C. communities.
