Reality TV show giving single Okanagan farmers another chance to find love

Okanagan farmers looking for love with have a chance to find their soulmate on upcoming reality TV show.

Contestants for CTV’s Farming for Love should be agricultural experts and be able to entertain audiences in their pursuit of love, according to a media release from the Okanagan Film Commission sharing CTV's casting call.

Lonely farmers from B.C. and Ontario can apply for the show's second season.

“They were here last year and it was a fantastic experience and did a fabulous job showcasing the area,” Jon Summerland with the film commission said in the release.

One of the contestants on the first season of Farming for Love was 25-year-old Farmer Charley from Keremeos

The idea for the show came from a similar Australian program called The Farmer Wants a Wife, which has 13 seasons. That show has resulted in 197 marriages and 465 children.
