Mark Pendergraft returns as the new chair of the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen board of directors.
The election took place during the board meeting today, Nov. 4.
Ballots were cast anonymously by the directors and Pendergraft won 11 to eight. The only other director running against him was Oliver Mayor Martin Johansen.
For the past five years the role has been filled by Karla Kozakevich, director for Electoral Area E for Naramata. Pendergraft served as chair of the board before Kozakevich.
Johansen was nominated for the position of vice chair but declined.
