Tk’emlups Rural RCMP continue to actively search for a man who disappeared nearly two weeks ago.

Richard Jules, 48, was last seen at his residence on Nov. 23.

Kamloops Search and Rescue members were called in by RCMP to assist in the search on Thursday, Nov. 28, and continued the search on Friday.

Search manager Alan Hobler had said they didn't have a lot of information to go on so the search was like finding a needle in a haystack in a lot of ways. Search teams from Salmon Arm, Nicola-Valley, Logan Lake and Barriere helped with the search last week. The volunteers focused the search last week on Tk'emlúps te Secwepemc land from the Halston Connector to the South Thompson River, as well as in the Mount Paul Industrial Park area.

RCMP do not say if search and rescue crews will be involved in the search this week.

Jules is described as an Indigenous man, 5’5” tall, with short straight brown hair. He is possibly wearing a red and white winter jacket, work boots and he may have a moustache.

Anyone with information on Jules’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Tk’emlups Rural RCMP detachment at 250-314-1800 or the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.

Kamloops Rural RCMP say Richard Jules, 48, was last seen on Nov. 23, 2019.
