Officers with a specialized property crime unit conducted raids in West Kelowna and Kelowna over the past month as part of proactive effort arrest offenders.
Police executed a search warrant at a home in the 2000 block of Horizon Drive in West Kelowna, Feb. 13, after an investigation into business break-ins, according to an RCMP media release issued today, March 12.
Officers recovered stolen property from those business break and enters as well as a stolen vehicle, fake licence plates and a loaded shotgun.

A 44-year-old man was arrested and released from custody with a court date in May.
On Feb. 21, a storage locker was searched in West Kelowna and officers found two stolen motorcycles. One bike was had been stolen in 2020 and the other in 2024.
The latest raid was at a home in the 600 block of Clifton Road in Kelowna where criminal activity had been observed in the past. Police arrested a 36-year-old man on outstanding warrants for violent offences. The suspect remains in custody. During the search of the home, officers found three firearms.

“These investigations and their respective seizures demonstrate our relentless pursuit of property crime offenders,” RCMP Cpl. Guillaume Tanguay with the Proactive Enforcement Unit said in the release. “These crimes plague the community, causing thousands of dollars of loss each year.”
