The Sicamous RCMP is asking the public for help for information that will help identify a man in his 50s who robbed a convenience store in the early hours of Sunday morning.
According to a Southeast District RCMP media release, the man entered the 7-11- store at Rauma Crescent, Sicamous at around 1:30 a.m. Dec. 6.
The man approached the lone employee at the store and demanded money and cigarettes before fleeing with a small undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. The release says no weapon was used in the robbery.
Minutes after receiving a 911 call police were at the scene along with officers from the canine teams at the Vernon North Okanagan Police Dog Services.
Police attempted to track the suspect but he was not located.
The suspect is a Caucasian male, in his 50s, approximately six feet tall, with a slender build and grey hair. He was wearing black pants, a black hoodie and a black mask covering his nose and mouth.
