A Vernon realtor who posted a video he dubbed the 'dumbest criminals in Vernon' to social media says the RCMP now have names and are pursuing the file.
Realtor John Deak posted surveillance video footage online of a sign being vandalized at The Vines Okanagan development Aug. 16, in the hope of catching the culprits and having them pay for the $1,100 sign.
"We have names and the RCMP are pursuing it," Deak told iNFOnews.ca.
Vernon North Okanagan RCMP confirmed the investigation is still ongoing.

Deak has also released some clearer pictures of the youths taken from the surveillance footage. The original video Deak posted quickly gained 32,000 views, with its comedic take on the vandalism. The video featured music reminiscent of circus clowns, and patronizingly nicknamed one of the youths "Tiny Gangsta." The video shows one youth angrily punching the sign, before running into it. The youths are also shown urinating on each other's cars.
"Why this sign caused them so much grief is a mystery to everyone... possibly even to them," Deak wrote in the social media post. "The Tiny Gangsta especially had an issue with it."
