A collision between a small SUV and a motorbike on Highway 33 last week led to the death of the motorcyclist.
A police news release says a white Chevrolet Tracker was travelling westbound near Goudie Road at about noon on Oct. 20 when it crossed the double solid centre line and struck a red Honda eastbound motorcycle.
The 60-year-old motorcyclist from the Okanagan was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries.
The driver of the Tracker, who was not injured, remained on the scene and is cooperating with the police. Impairment has been ruled out as a factor in the collision.
Investigators are looking for any additional witnesses, including people who may have dash cam video of the collision or the driving behaviour of the Tracker prior to the collision.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP’s Central Okanagan Traffic Services department in Kelowna at 250-491-5354 or email the lead investigator james.ward@recmp-grc.gc.ca.
