Rainy end to April in Kamloops, Okanagan

There's rain in the forecast for the next few days in Kamloops and the Okanagan.

April appears poised to end on a damp note with a forecast calling for a chance of showers into the weekend for Kamloops and the Okanagan.

Kamloops, Vernon and Kelowna can all expect periods of rain today, April 29, with a high of 22 Celsius for Vernon and Kelowna and 21 C for Kamloops. Penticton has a 40 per cent chance of showers with a high of 24 C expected today.

Cloudy conditions and a low of 10 C is in store for all four cities overnight, with the possibility of more showers Friday.

Kamloops has a 30 per cent chance of showers tomorrow, with a high of 20 C expected, while Vernon and Kelowna have a 60 per cent possibility of rain, along with a high of 19 C. Penticton should see mainly cloudy skies and a high of 21 C Friday.

At this point, the weekend looks split between a cooler, wetter Saturday giving way to more sun and increasing warmth on Sunday.

There is a 30 per cent chance of showers to begin the month of May in Kamloops with a high of 19 C expected. Sunday should see a return to sunny skies and a high of 21 C.

Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton are looking at a 70 per cent chance of rain through Saturday with a highs around 16 C. Temperatures should rebound to a high of 19 C on Sunday along with a return to sunny skies.

Kamloops normally sees a high of 19 C and a low of 5 C in late April, while the normal highs and lows in Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton are 17 C and 4 C.
