KAMLOOPS - Kamloops RCMP are investigating the homicide of a 35-year-old man.
Troy Gold from Kamloops was last seen Oct. 1 and was reported missing soon after.
Police said they believed Gold’s disappearance to be suspicious and further investigation by police proved Gold has been murdered, according to an RCMP media release issued today, Oct. 10.
A large police presence was witnessed at two locations on Saturday, Oct. 6 at Lac Du Bois and at a residence on Woodstock Place, police say. The Serious Crime Unit has been investigating at these two locations.
No arrests have been made but police say they have suspects. The investigation is still in progress and police say more information will be made available to the public as it comes.
Police say the homicide was targeted but there is no risk to the public.
The Kelowna Daily Courier reported in 2014 Gold was previously convicted of manslaughter and robbery.
