Police were called to the accident scene today, March 21, at 6:30 a.m., according to a RCMP media release. A male pedestrian was walking south at a crosswalk in the 300 block of Columbia Street when a vehicle that was turning west struck him.

RCMP say the man received minor injuries and was taken to a local medical facility to be assessed.

The driver stayed on scene and the police say the investigation is still ongoing.
