Police investigating after body found in West Kelowna

Police are investigating after the body of a man was found in Okanagan Lake near the W.R. Bennett Bridge yesterday afternoon.

A man was found in shallow water near Shelter Bay Marina around 1:16 p.m. July 29.

The Southeast District Major Crime Unit is trying to determine the cause of death and if criminality was involved.

The man is described as Asian between the ages of 20 and 40, average height, slim build and wearing a black collared shirts and black pants.

Police are requesting anyone who might have been in the area that noted a male matching this description on July 29 to contact the Southeast District Major Crime Unit at 1-877-987-8477.
