KAMLOOPS - Some highly visible thieves hit RTR Performance in Valleyview earlier this week, stealing five vehicles.

Jeff Widdows, the service advisor for the shop, says they have security video of the theft which occurred in the early morning hours Wednesday. The suspects, dressed in high-visibility vest and coveralls, showed up at 1:49 a.m., June 10, and walked around until 3:20 a.m., when they finally made their move.

Dressed as construction workers the four suspects stolen five KTM bikes from the motorcycle dealer located along the Trans Canada Highway Frontage Road.

“They knew what they were doing,” Widdows says of the group. “But we have all the VINs, so if they get sold we’ll know.”

Widdows says the suspect vehicles involved include an early-2000s, two-door, dark blue Ford Explorer with after market rims and tires and a hitch, a combination that is quite rare. The white van looks to be a mid-2000s Ford Econoline.

Here are the models and VINs for the stolen bikes, which are all orange and white:
- 2014 KTM 65 SX VBKMRA23XEM092169
- 2015 KTM 85 SX VBKMXC232FM000992
- 2014 KTM 150 SX VBKMXJ237EM101027
- 2015 KTM 350 EXC-F VBKEXK403FM239100
- 2015 KTM 500 EXC VBKEXP407FM498881

Widdows asks anyone with information about the thefts to call the RCMP or RTR performance at 250-374-3141.

He says more pictures will be posted on the RTR Facebook page later today.

RCMP are continuing their investigation and Cpl. Cheryl Bush asks anyone with information to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
