Oliver's Area 27 Formula 1 race track reached a milestone after selling 300 memberships to the exclusive race track.

OLIVER - A unique business venture near Oliver has reached an important milestone in its development.
Area 27 Motorsports park Assistant General Manager Felicity Johnson says in a press release issued Jan. 30 that the Formula 1 race track has sold all 300 family memberships in the its first season of operations.
Area 27 Motorsports Park is located southeast of Oliver on Osoyoos Indian Band land. The 4.83 km Formula One track officially opened June 3, 2017 by founding members Bill Drossos, Jacques Villeneuve and Trevor Siebert.
Johnson says the track now plans to expand member offerings, and develop corporate entertainment, media and videography opportunities.
Construction of a 9,500 square foot multipurpose facility is expected to get underway shortly at the track, providing on-site food and beverages and classroom facilities for driver training programs.
