PENTICTON - Penticton RCMP looking for a man in connection with a vehicle theft found more than they were looking for last week.

Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says members with the RCMP's Targeted Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at a motel room at the Sunny Beach Motel on Dec. 8 in relation to theft of a vehicle back on Nov. 23.

Police seized stolen surveillance items as well as drugs, including methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine and other drug trafficking items.

The man residing in the room was not present when police exercised the search, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
