Kamloops RCMP are seeking public assistance in locating witnesses to a robbery that occurred on Saturday.

On Dec. 11, around 4:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of a woman who entered a store front in the 450 block of Lansdowne Street, displayed a knife and demanded staff fill a duffle bag with cash from the till, according to an RCMP media release.

RCMP do not identify the store.

The women left the store, met with someone, and walked westbound.

“The till was later located in a public washroom on the 300 block of Victoria Street, reported to, and seized by police,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn said in the release.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect, witnessed the robbery, or has any information of importance to the investigation is encouraged to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000, and reference file 2021-43164.
