A Penticton man who allegedly deployed bear spray after he was caught rummaging through someone else’s car has been arrested.

“Frontline officers responded with a large presence and quickly located the suspect,” Const. Dayne Lyons said in the release.

“The suspect was caught in possession of bear spray, and items believed to be stolen from the vehicle.”

Charges of assault, theft, possession of stolen property have all been approved by the B.C. Prosecution Service. Kamps has been held in custody.
