KAMLOOPS - A crash on the Trans Canada Highway this evening has left one person dead.
Around 8:40 p.m. tonight, Nov. 14., RCMP responded to a single vehicle accident on the highway on the eastern edge of Kamloops. The driver, the only person in the vehicle, was declared dead at the scene, according to a police press release.
Currently police are investigating the cause of the crash. They believe the vehicle, travelling west bound, lost control and rolled several times.
Police are notifying the next of kin.
As of 10:10 p.m. Nov. 14 the highway is open, but there is a small detour at the scene. Police are requesting drivers reduce speed in the area.
