PENTICTON - Multi-platinum and gold record recording artists Nitty Gritty Dirt Band are coming to Penticton.
The legendary band brings 50 years of folk, rock, bluegrass and country blues to the South Okanagan Events Centre on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018.
The group, known for such hits as “Mr. Bojangles,” and “Fishin’ in the Dark” have won multiple Grammys, IBMA, and Country Music Award nominations.
The band has also had the 1972 album “Will the Circle be Unbroken” inducted into the U.S. Library of Congress and the Grammy Hall of Fame.
This year marks the 52 year of touring for the group, which includes Jeff Hanna, Jimmie Fadden and Bob Carpenter.
The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band has been cited as a catalyst for an entire movement in country rock and American roots music.
They will be accompanied by musical guests “Nice Horse" in Penticton.
