PENTICTON - The Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen board has new leadership, after directors voted for a new chair and vice-chair yesterday.
Manager of legislative services Christy Malden said in an email after the vote on Nov. 3, Electoral Area “E” director Karla Kozakevich was acclaimed as board chair, taking over the position from Osoyoos rural director Mark Pendegraft who is retiring from the position.
Keremeos director Manfred Bauer was elected vice-chair, in a two way race with Penticton director Andrew Jakubeit. Bauer previously held the position in 2013.
This year's result is a change from past years when the board sought to have both municipal and rural representation in the two positions.
West Bench director Michael Brydon was elected chair of the Okanagan Similkameen Regional Hospital District board for his third year and Penticton director Judy Sentes was elected vice-chair for her fourth year.
