GRINDROD - Highway 97A is back open following a mud slide Sunday night, but travellers can still expect delays Tuesday.
The road will be open to single lane alternating traffic Tuesday, Feb. 17 while crews conduct maintenance work. The work is being conducted from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. according to Drive B.C. and travellers are advised there will be delays of about 20 minutes.
The section of highway was closed in both directions from Grindrod to Sicamous for much of Monday with detours along Highway 1 and Highway 97 B. One home was evacuated, and three vehicles damaged in the mud slide.
