Six people were sent to the hospital following a five-vehicle accident on the Coquihalla, Oct. 29. Merritt RCMP officers that responded to the scene found four of the vehicles were on fire.

An online fundraiser created this week for Tyler Galloway, one of the crash victims, has raised $11,635 as of today. Nov. 5. The goal is $15,000.

Galloway is currently in intensive care in New Westminster, his family reported via Facebook, as he has a brain injury and is on life support.

Regina Stunts, who organized the online fundraiser, wrote that the funds will be used to help his family with emergency travel, and medical expenses for Galloway. Stunts did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The fundraiser can be found here.
