Missing homeless man found dead in Kelowna

Kelowna RCMP have found the body of a 38-year-old homeless man who went missing last month.

Police were notified about a deceased man found in a wooded area off Benvoulin Road at Casorso Road on Jan. 7, according to an RCMP media release issued today, Jan. 15.

The man was experiencing homelessness and went missing from the Lower Mission area near Pandosy Street back on Dec. 14, 2023.

Police said foul play is not suspected in the man's death.

“Kelowna RCMP have been working with the BC Coroners Service to confirm the identity of the deceased and inform the family first and foremost” Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Michael Gauthier said in the release.
