Mini blaze near Oyama Lake being held by B.C. Wildfire crews

A small wildfire that sparked to the west of Oyama Lake is now being held by B.C. Wildfire Service crews.

The fire was initially discovered July 29, and was caused by lightning, according to the wildfire service.

Wildfire information officer Taylor MacDonald said the fire is being held and one initial attack crew made up of three wildfire personnel are back on site today.

The size of the fire is 0.5 hectares in size and one initial attack crew and a helicopter responded to the fire yesterday.
