UPDATED MAP: Christmas lights shine bright in Vernon night

December 24, 2016 - 9:30 AM

VERNON - It’s not Christmas without the dazzle of bright lights around the city, and we’ve found the displays you don’t want to miss this year.

A Christmas lights driving tour is a fun, and free, way to get in the holiday spirit. When night falls, the City of Vernon transforms into another world well worth exploring; glowing reindeer graze in yards and homes shimmer in a rainbow of lights.

To help you plan your own driving tour we’ve put together a map of some of the best places we know of to see Christmas lights in Vernon.

Make sure to stop by 4105 Pleasant Valley Rd. which has over 30,000 lights sequenced to a 12 song light show, plus a walking path that leads to a lit backyard and a crockpot of hot apple cider. The shows runs every night starting at 5 p.m. and restarts every half hour, ending at 10 p.m. The pathway is open from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. each night as well, and donations are being accepted for the Vernon Women's Transition House Society.

Some of the displays we’ve seen ourselves and some we’ve been told about by our readers, so if you see any we're missing, please let us know in the comments section below. We will update the map and the address list below as we receive them.
