KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops suspect wanted in connection to a kidnapping and robbery case last week has been arrested just outside of Penticton.

Robert James Rennie was located and arrested by Penticton RCMP yesterday, Feb. 21, according to an RCMP media release.

"This arrest occurred without incident after a traffic stop in a rural area west of Kaleden," Sgt. Nestor Baird says in the release.

A warrant for Rennie's arrest was issued by police after an incident on Feb. 14 after two males were robbed and a female was kidnapped in the city.

Rennie is charged with assault causing bodily harm, police say.

RCMP are continuing their search for two murder suspects wanted in connection to a double shooting last week on Tranquille Road.

Two men, Gordon Braaten and Hugh Alex McIntosh have each been charged with murder and attempted murder after an incident on Feb. 15, 2019 where one man, Jason Glover, died of his injuries.

Anybody with information on the whereabouts of these two individuals are asked to call 911 immediately as they are considered armed and dangerous.
