Man stabbed in Kamloops not cooperating with police

The victim of a stabbing in Kamloops didn’t report the assault until he needed medical help three days later.

The stabbing happened in the 900 block of Columbia Street West, Sept. 11, near the stairway to Columbia Street, according to an RCMP media release.

Police were called to the 200 block of Royal Avenue on the North Shore three days later, Sept. 14, after an ambulance was called to provide medical assistance to the stabbing victim.

The victim doesn’t appear to be cooperating police. RCMP say no suspect description was provided.

Police say the victim is expected to recover.
