Mainly sunny weekend forecast for Kamloops

KAMLOOPS - Kamloops residents can expect to see rain, sun and cloud over the next few days as temperatures take a dip below seasonal norms.

Environment Canada is predicting mainly sunny skies today, Aug. 22, with winds becoming west at 20 km/h early this afternoon. The mercury is predicted to rise to 27 Celsius today with an overnight low of 14 C under increasingly cloudy skies.

The periods of rain in the forecast tomorrow are expected to end in the afternoon when the sun will come back out. The daytime high is only expected to reach 21 C, with an overnight low of 11 C.

Saturday should see a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 24 C. Clouds are expected to roll in Saturday night bringing a 60 per cent chance of showers with them. The low will drop to 14 C.

The forecast calls for mainly sunny skies on Sunday with a high of 25 C and a low of 13 C.

Sunny skies are expected to prevail into Monday and Tuesday next week, with daytime highs around 26 C and lows of about 11 C.

Normal temperatures this time of year in Kamloops are highs of 27 C and lows of 12 C.
