Somebody in Richmond purchased a Lotto 6/49 ticket that was one of two to win a $5 million jackpot on Canada Day.

Players must match all six numbers to win the Classic Jackpot – the odds of doing so are 1 in 13,983,816, according to a release from the B.C. Lottery Corporation.

The other winning ticket was purchased through the Western Canada Lottery Corporation.

Another lucky player who purchased a ticket in Vancouver won a $1 million prize. And three others in British Columbia, two from Victoria and one from Vancouver, won at least $10,000 prizes.
