LAKE COUNTRY - Police are investigating another case of community mailbox tampering in the Carr's Landing area.

According to a release from Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers, a Canada Post employee reported to RCMP that several mailboxes were damaged.

Some mailboxes were pried open and some were jammed shut. It's unknown whether any mail was stolen.

RCMP says it's wise to pick up mail on a regular basis and to always report suspicious activity.

Cases of theft from community mailboxes in the region are becoming more common.
