KELOWNA - A head-on crash killed a Kelowna woman and injured one other person this past weekend.

The B.C. Coroners Service has confirmed Joselyn Casavant, 21, of Kelowna, died in the crash.

Casavant was the sole occupant of a Toyota sedan and was driving down McCurdy Road around 10:15 p.m., May 22, when another vehicle apparently crossed the centre line near Morrison Road, causing the head-on collision.

RCMP said they believe the other vehicle, a Honda coupe, was speeding. The 27-year-old driver of the Honda received non-life threatening injuries.

The coroners service and RCMP continue to investigate the incident.
