Kelowna RCMP seek witnesses in early morning assault

Mounties are seeking witnesses to an early morning attack of a Kelowna man.

Members of the Kelowna RCMP responded to a report of an assault in the 200 block of Lawrence Avenue just after 2:45 a.m. today, March 2.

When officers arrived, they located a man suffering from serious injuries sustained during an attack. He was transported to hospital where he is currently receiving medical treatment.

It is early in the investigation, and investigators are working to identify the suspect and what events transpired leading up to the assault.

“We are appealing for witnesses in this matter to step forward,” Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy said in a press release. “Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to contact us immediately.”
