Kelowna man suffers life-threatening injuries in ATV rollover

A 60-year-old Kelowna man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following an ATV rollover yesterday on a forest service road.

West Kelowna RCMP responded to the call, which took place around 4:30 p.m. yesterday, Jan. 27, according to an RCMP media release.

Police found a man pinned under and ATV which had gone over an embankment on Bear Forest Service Road.

RCMP along with B.C. emergency health services personnel and West Kelowna Fire Rescue extricated the 60-year-old man, who was transported to hospital.

A 52-year-old Kelowna woman who was a passenger on the ATV was not injured.

The incident remains under investigation and no further information is available at this time, RCMP said.
