KELOWNA – Kelowna fire crews made short work of a house fire in the city last night.

Platoon Capt. Dennis Miller says in a media release firefighters were called to a house fire in the 2100 block of Glenmore Road North at around 8:40 p.m. yesterday, Dec. 22.

When crews arrived, smoke could be seen coming from the rear of the home.

“Crews made entry into the building and were able to extinguish the fire quickly, confining the fire to the rear portion of the building,” Miller says in the release.

The cause of the fire is under investigation but Miller says it is not suspicious.
