Kamloops RCMP are appealing for witnesses after a woman was robbed at knife point while sitting in her car early this morning.

According to a Kamloops RCMP media release, the armed robbery took place in a lower Sahali parkade at the 500 block of Dalgleish Drive today, March 3, at around 4:50 a.m.

Police say the woman was sitting in the driver’s seat of her car when a man with a knife opened her door and stole her purse.

"Among the items stolen were a Hello Kitty wallet, a black Volcom brand purse and keys," Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn said in the release. "If anyone has come across these items or knows someone who recently acquired them, please contact police as soon as possible."

Police are asking residents in the area to review any overnight security footage they may have which may have captured an image of the suspect.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male with a slim build and around 35-years-old.

Anyone with information is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file number 2022-6724.
