KAMLOOPS - A Kamloops woman charged with attacking an elderly man during an armed robbery with a fake weapon is due back in Kamloops Supreme Court next month for her trial.

Sarah Chalifoux-Schneider was arrested after allegedly using an imitation gun during a robbery in the North Shore back in October. The suspect demanded cash from a man near the Ford dealership on Halston Avenue around 10 p.m. on Oct. 14, 2015.

The woman had a male accomplice, but there's no record of him being arrested. The elderly man was assaulted during the robbery and the woman presented the gun at two different residences after that.

Chalifoux-Schneider has seven charges against her, including break and enter, mischief and robbery. She first appeared in court on Oct. 15, 2015.

She remains in custody and is set to be back in court on June 15.
