UPDATE: Three men now faces charges in Valentine's Day robbery, kidnapping

KAMLOOPS - Three men have now been charged with a Valentine's Day robbery and kidnapping in Kamloops was apprehended earlier today.

According to a press release, Kamloops RCMP and the Southeast District Emergency Response Team worked together to arrest at least one suspect Feb. 20 at Brandon Avenue on the North Shore. The suspect is believed to be connected with a robbery and kidnapping on Feb. 14.

Kamloops RCMP asked the Emergency Response team for assistance since the robbery perpetrators used firearms. The teams arrested the 36-year-old man without incident. The suspect is known to police.

More information about the case is expected to be released later today. Two suspects in the case have already been arrested.

According to court records, Justin William Daniels, born in 1980, and Michael James Mathieson, born in 1982, are facing charges including robbery, using an imitation firearm and unlawful confinement. A third man, Robert James Rennie, born in 1987, is facing a charge of assault causing bodily harm.
