Kamloops RCMP to get new inspector after Easter

Supt. Brad Mueller

KAMLOOPS – After a year without one, local RCMP will finally get a new inspector after the Easter holiday.

The new inspector, Sunny Parmar, was selected after a separate candidate was unable to sell his house in Nova Scotia to secure his move to Kamloops.

“We decided we needed to move forward,” Mueller says. “That decision was made around Christmas.”

Parmar, who has 20 years of service and is moving from Vancouver Island, will help the superintendant oversee general duty operations before sitting down with management to prioritize tasks, Mueller said.

The inspector position opened up after Insp. Jennie Latham took a role in Ottawa early last year.
