KAMLOOPS - The replacement for the RCMP operations officer slot is moving all the way from Nova Scotia.
Insp. Tony Perry, currently serving in the Antiqonish District of Nova Scotia has 26 years operational experience in general duties and major crimes.
He replaces Insp. Jennie Latham who transferred to Ottawa earlier this year. Latham took over as interim commander in chief while the Kamloops RCMP detachment was in flux. Latham joined the Kamloops RCMP in June, 2011.
No date was given for the arrival of Insp. Perry.
Insp. Jennie Latham announced her departure for Ottawa in January.
