KAMLOOPS - Police are now looking for a different type of vehicle they say may have been involved in a fatal hit and run in Kamloops last weekend.
The RCMP investigation into the hit and run collision on Saturday, Oct. 20, that killed a 48-year-old man continues, but police have new surveillance footage that has them looking for a cobalt blue sedan.
The make and model are unknown, according to the release.
Originally, police said video surveillance footage they obtained from a building on Seymour Street showed a silver Dodge Neon was the suspect vehicle, according to an RCMP media release issued today, Oct. 25.
RCMP say the vehicle had been misidentified and investigators are currently working with the owner of a vehicle that was seized yesterday, Oct. 24 to return the car.
Police are now asking for the public's help in locating a 2010 to 2019 cobalt blue four-door sedan with black rims.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 250-828-3000.
