Kamloops RCMP asking for help identify suspect in backyard thefts

Police are looking for the man caught on surveillance video alleged stealing from the backyard of a Kamloops home on Monday, Sept. 5, 2016.

KAMLOOPS - Police are asking the public's for help in identifying a man who allegedly stole items from the backyard of a downtown Kamloops home over a week ago.

RCMP say in a media release at around 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 5, a man entered the backyard of the downtown home and took several items before fleeing on foot.

Police aren't saying where in downtown Kamloops the home is located or what items were taken.

Surveillance video shows the suspect to be a man around 5'11" tall, with a thin build and roughly 35- to-40-years-old.

If you can identify the suspect you're asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
