KAMLOOPS -  Kamloops fire crews were dispatched to the Kamloops Bike Ranch yesterday afternoon after a mountain bike accident left a man with a head injury.

Kamloops Fire Rescue Capt. Wade Lindoff says firefighters responded to the Bike Ranch off Highland Road yesterday, Oct.1.

"It was a 25-year-old male with a head injury so our crews assisted with ambulance and also assisted with loading and transporting using our basket stretcher," he said.

When firefighters arrived, the man was lying face up and conscious.

The fire department did not have an update on the bike rider's current condition.
