LAKE COUNTRY - If you are in the market for an Okanagan property with a lake view, you are in luck. The infamous Lakeside Airport Inn has come onto the market with a listing price of just over $8.1 million.

The property on 11474 Petrie Road is listed for sale on cammanning.com. It has been the focal point for years of drawn-out legal and municipal battles.

B.C. Assessment lists the value of the 5.28 acre property at $2,172,400.

The Lakeside Airport Inn came under heavy scrutiny in 2016 when a health inspection uncovered mould, deficient smoke detectors, water leaks, and unsafely stored combustible elements. The owner, Raif Fleihan, applied for a business license renewal in 2017, which the District of Lake Country denied for safety reasons.

Fleihan attempted to get his license back, even bringing his case to the Court of Appeal, but he's been repeatedly shut down.

Recently, RCMP noted the property has become a growing problem in Lake Country, often housing stolen items and transient and criminal activity.

The real estate listing says the property's permitted uses include hotel and resort, food establishments, drive-thru fast food, recreational tourist accommodation, multiple dwelling housing, liquor store, retail or convenience store, spa services, boat storage, Go Karts, putting greens, and amusement or arcade centre.

You can check out the listing here.
