If nothing else, the COVID-19 inspired toilet paper frenzy may be spurring on a bit of cardiovascular activity among weekend shoppers.
It’s been widely reported that grocery stores across the globe are running low on toilet paper supplies, as fears of the virus that largely affects people’s respiratory systems continues to spread.
While health officials have asked people to take the virus seriously, consider their health and wash their hands vigorously the value placed on TP has reached new heights.
Usually, this has been illustrated with empty shelves, a B.C. woman took a video that shows exactly what the fight for a cheap roll of toilet paper looks like.
“They just opened the doors, let’s see how long it takes them to come through — and here they come,” can be heard at the start of a video posted on a Facebook account held by Suki Singh Parmara.
The video is of the Langley Costco and it’s had around 23,000 views as of Monday morning.
Laughter can be heard as the hoards descend, and the woman enjoys the “front row view” of the toilet paper frenzy while a Costco employee warns people to keep moving lest they get hurt.
