Cameron Whitcomb of Kamloops wowed the judges on American Idol in Hollywood last night, April 3.

Whitcomb, 18, teamed up with Tristen Gressett, 17, from Alabama to perform an energetic duet.

Calling themselves team Both Crazy, they performed a cover of “Have You Ever Seen The Rain” by Creedence Clearwater Revival, which earned a standing ovation from judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan.

Whitcomb is a motorcycle mechanic and pipeline worker who initially won a golden ticket to Hollywood two weeks ago after performing “Rock, Salt and Nails” by Waylon Jennings.
