The B.C. SPCA annual amateur wildlife photography contest winners have been announced for this year, and their photos do not disappoint.
With several hundreds of photos submitted, the judges had a tough time choosing the top three winners of the 14th annual contest, according to a B.C. SPCA media release.
A number of contestants received honourable mentions and one won the People’s Choice Award.
The contest also brought in thousands of dollars to go toward care for wildlife.
“With more than 800 photos submitted, it was a challenge for the contest judges to choose only a few of the many amazing photos celebrating B.C.’s diverse wildlife,” the SPCA's Erin Ryan said in the release. “We want to thank all the participants for sharing their amazing photos and helping to raise $23,924.00 to help the B.C. SPCA’s Wild ARC care for injured and orphaned wildlife.”
