iN PHOTOS: Daredevil dummies return for season-finale at Apex Mountain

The Downhill Dummy was brought back to life for Apex Mountain Resort's final weekend of the season.

The event is normally held as an exciting way to finish off the season but there was there was a two-year hiatus as a result of COVID.

Skiing dummies were creatively designed by local enthusiasts. Over a dozen were sent off a jump and launched about 60 feet into the air before meeting a violent landing.

There was a dummy riding a desk, a dummy riding a bed, and a dummy riding a trash can. But not everything launched off the ramp had a dummy riding it – there was a couch, an army tank and a giant packet of sweetener.
