KELOWNA - It wasn't quite a happy ending, but the discovery of a life sized mannequin in Manning Park came as brief relief to Mounties who had been called in to investigate a report of found human remains.
Princeton RCMP responded July 10 to a report of a possible human body lying underneath a tarp near a pullout on the highway within Manning Park.
"The officer arrived and found what appeared to be a life-sized mannequin laying underneath a blue tarp," Const. James Grandy said in a press release.
"The lower legs had been removed, along with the head. Metal joints were visible, and it was immediately confirmed to be a plastic doll."
To other media, a Princeton RCMP officer confirmed they were sex dolls.
The officer conducted further foot patrols within the immediate area, and located several other plastic body parts. All items were seized by the officer and the motive is unknown.
