Penticton RCMP are investigating following discovery of human remains earlier this week.
Police were called to the Causeway bridge near Skaha Beach last Tuesday, March 30 around 3:15 p.m. following a report of a deceased person found by jogger in the area.
“The Penticton RCMP is working to determine the decedent's identity,” police spokesperson Sgt. Scott Hanry said in a press release issued this afternoon, April 1.
The B.C. Coroners office is also conducting a parallel investigation into the death.
There are no further details to release at this time. Police will not be revealing the identity of the individual unless required to further the investigation.
