QMJHL: Mooseheads shut out Wildcats 3-0 to take 3-1 series lead

MONCTON, N.B. - Mathis Rousseau delivered a 25-save shutout and the Halifax Mooseheads took a commanding 3-1 series lead with a 3-0 win over the Moncton Wildcats on Thursday.

Mathieu Cataford, Alexandre Doucet and Zachary L'Heureux scored one goal apiece for Halifax (50-11-4-3).

Jacob Steinman stopped 31-of-34 shots for Moncton (35-29-2-2).

After dropping the opener of their second-round series last Friday, the Mooseheads turned things around with three straight victories to sit one away from moving on to the semifinals.

Game 5 is set to take place on Sunday at Scotiabank Centre in Halifax.
